Membership at Tacoma Aikikai
Membership is easy. Dojo membership opens the door to unlimited training in the adults, teens, or kids programs. Monthly membership dues are not payment for classes. Members dues, time, and energy on the mat all support the dojo community so that we all can continue to train together. No one is turned away for lack of funds. Please contact us for sliding scale rates or scholarships.
Because learning a martial art takes time, we ask that new students commit to three months of training upon initial registration. Uniforms are optional during this time. After this initial period, we don’t have contracts, but we do ask that you communicate with us for any change in membership status. Visit us or click the getting started button to learn more.
At Tacoma Aikikai, we believe that everyone with a strong desire to train Aikido deserves the opportunity to do so. Reduced Sliding Scale Rates are available to meet the financial needs of our members – no documentation needed. Please contact us to apply.
We love having families in the dojo. To help support your memberships, we offer family discounts for full price memberships.
2 members – 10%
