An introduction to self-defense, this stand alone weekend workshop will explore the basics of awareness, assessment, and options for deflecting, diffusing, disengaging, or defending oneself in vulnerable or dangerous situations. The short course will include an overview of physical and psychological techniques for dealing with an unarmed attacker, as well as an introduction to falling, boundary setting, situational awareness, effective strikes, and deflection.
This stand-alone weekend workshop can serve as an introduction to our full 4-week self-defense course scheduled for February 2020.
